Job summary

The Endpoint Configuration Engineer role at University of Kansas Medical Center's Customer Support team designs, implements, and maintains workstation configurations, operating systems, and related software for enterprise environments. You will work with the Service Desk and Desktop Support teams to provide expert guidance during on-site troubleshooting.

You will develop Group Policy settings, monitor security and performance, and create technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years relevant experience in information technology or information systems.
• Three (3) years relevant experience in endpoint management, configuration management, systems administration or related technical services.

Responsibilities

• Provide system administrator-level technical support throughout all phases of endpoint management.
• Design, implement, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot endpoint management solutions, operating systems, software, and related technologies.
• Utilize systems management tools to support endpoint imaging, OS deployment, patch management, software distribution, remote management, reporting, inventory, licensing, settings enforcement, and configuration management.
• Analyze, diagnose, and isolate technical problems and implement solutions to resolve system issues.
• Develop, test, implement, and maintain Group Policy configurations to support the University’s computing environment.
• Monitor and maintain system availability, data integrity, security, and performance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, white papers, decision documents, deployment procedures, and other documentation.
