Job summary

The University of Kansas is seeking a senior IT Engineer to lead enterprise endpoint & workstation engineering, M365 services, and automation initiatives across 12,000+ devices. You will collaborate with security, networking, and enterprise services to ensure reliable, compliant campus technology solutions.

Responsibilities cover design, deployment, scripting, project leadership, and knowledge management with opportunities to mentor peers and participate in enterprise projects.

Qualifications

• Three years of enterprise-scale endpoint management experience.
• Three years supporting workstation management technologies: MECM/SCCM, Intune, Jamf, Group Policy, Print Management, License Management, Endpoint Security, Virtualization, Anywhere365.
• Two years administering enterprise apps, Microsoft 365 services, cloud platforms, or related infra.
• Experience using PowerShell or similar automation tech.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical projects or implementations.
• Excellent written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain, and administer workstation management systems and endpoint platforms.
• Administer MECM, Intune, Jamf, Group Policy, print management, endpoint security, software distribution, and related technologies.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex endpoint issues.
• Coordinate with Security, Networking, and Enterprise Systems teams to maintain secure, compliant endpoint services.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, Azure, Power Platform.
• Support licensing, identity management, monitoring, and configuration of systems.
• Develop automation in PowerShell, Python; build tools to improve deployment and monitoring.
• Lead technical projects and participate in roadmap planning and lifecycle management.
• Create and maintain technical documentation; provide mentorship and training.
