Job summary

University of Kansas seeks a Senior Technical Support Technician to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, OS, and system issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux. You will collaborate with IT peers to support engineering and teaching environments, develop documentation, and contribute to technology lifecycle planning.

This role requires 3+ years of workstation support, strong troubleshooting, and experience with imaging tools.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with relevant professional experience or an Associate’s degree with experience.
Three years of workstation support on Windows and Mac operating systems.
Experience with imaging/endpoint management tools and printer deployment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex hardware, software, OS, and systems issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles.
Assist with planning and executing enterprise projects and technology upgrades.
Coordinate with IT teams to support teaching and learning IT needs.
Provide AV-related support and classroom tech checks as needed.
Escalate issues to KU IT enterprise groups when necessary.
