Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide patient care and technical support during endoscopic procedures at the Plymouth facility. You will prepare the endoscopy area, assist with patient transport, and ensure accurate documentation and infection control throughout all steps of the procedure.

This role requires CNA certification, ability to work in a team, and strong adherence to safety and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• CNA responsibilities and knowledge.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions and apply CNA skills.
• Knowledge of infection control, cleaning and disinfection protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, push heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Good body mechanics and safe patient transport.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and technical expertise during endoscopic procedures under supervision.
• Prepares procedure area with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy supplies and equipment.
• Assesses equipment condition and ensures safety for the team.
• Documents patient and procedure information accurately in electronic records.
• Follows procedures for specimen collection, labeling, and documentation.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and professional environment.
• Assists with patient transport and preparation before/after procedures.
• Stocking, purchasing recommendations, and sterilization of supplies.
• Adheres to aseptic technique and infection control protocols for endoscopes and equipment.
• Uses PPE during procedures and disinfection processes.
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and department meetings.
