Job summary

Requires valid CNA credentials and BLS, with ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. On-call rotations and a union-backed wage structure are included.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant responsibilities and knowledge.
• Knowledge of infection control, cleaning and disinfection protocols.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and as a team.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and technological expertise during endoscopic procedures, as delegated by physicians.
• Prepares the procedure area with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy supplies.
• Maintains equipment and ensures the procedure area is safe and ready for use.
• Assists physicians during endoscopy with biopsy/polypectomy equipment.
• Handles specimens and ensures proper labeling and transport to RN.
• Maintains patient information confidentiality and privacy.
• Assists with patient transport before and after procedures.
• Stocking and purchasing assistance; rotates sterile supplies monthly.
• Adheres to aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
