Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a CNA to provide patient care and technical support during endoscopic procedures. You will prepare the procedure area, maintain equipment, and assist physicians with biopsy tools while upholding strict infection control and patient confidentiality.

You will also transport patients, stand during long procedures, and participate in on-call rotations as required, contributing to a collaborative team focused on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant responsibilities and knowledge.
• Knowledge of infection control, cleaning and disinfection protocols.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Excellent communication etiquette and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and technical support during endoscopic procedures as directed.
• Prepares the procedure area with all supplies and equipment.
• Maintains equipment condition and ensures safety and readiness for procedures.
• Assists physicians during endoscopy with biopsy/polypectomy tools.
• Follows PPE usage and infection control protocols during procedures.
• Maintains documentation and handles patient data with confidentiality.
• On-call responsibilities as scheduled.
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
