Job summary

UCHealth in Longmont, CO, seeks an onsite GI Lab Technician to provide technical support for diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. PRN schedule with day shifts and hourly pay between $19.67 and $25.57, based on experience.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians, processing specimens, maintaining and sterilizing endoscopy equipment, and keeping the GI area clean and well-supplied. BLS certification required; high school diploma or GED accepted.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
• Minimum Experience: None Required.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians and nurses with performing procedures and providing patient care.
• Processes tissue and bodily fluids specimens.
• Prepares and maintains endoscopy equipment and supplies. Performs endoscope sterilization and processing.
• Maintains the GI procedure area in a clean, safe condition. Ensures necessary equipment and supplies are available for procedures.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
