Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a GI Technician (SEIU) to support gastroenterology procedures in the GI lab under RN direction. The role involves assisting gastroenterologists, transporting patients, and helping with decontamination and supply management for endoscopic work.

The ideal candidate will have at least a high school diploma (GED preferred), possibly an associate degree, and CPR/BLS certification as required by AH policy. Experience in GI labs is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Experience in Gastroenterology (GI) Lab/Operating Room: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and practices competencies related to endoscopic procedures, which include proper disinfection, care and handling of endoscopes.
• Understands and practices principles of universal precautions and hazardous materials management to process equipment and supplies through stages of decontamination.
• Transports patients between departments.
• Inventories supplies and communicates inventory needs to inventory clerks.
• Collects data for performance improvement.
