Job summary

UCHealth is seeking an Endoscopy Technician at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO. The role provides technical support for diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, assists physicians and nurses, and ensures clean, ready equipment for GI procedures.

Includes responsibilities for specimen handling, sterilization, and maintaining a safe GI procedure area, with a focus on teamwork and timely action in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
• BLS card must be valid through start date and renewals issued by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians and nurses with performing procedures and providing patient care.
• Processes tissue and bodily fluids specimens.
• Prepares and maintains endoscopy equipment and supplies; performs endoscope sterilization and processing.
• Maintains the GI procedure area in a clean, safe condition with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
