Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years in a patient care setting.
• Experience in a high acuity inpatient or procedural area preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Escort and transport patients to procedures in GI lab and OR.
• Ensure safe handling when transferring patients to OR table.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are clean and operable.
• Document in EHR/Provation and schedule cases.
• Set up, pre-clean, and handle GI scopes per policy.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and nurses to position patients.
• Assist physicians and staff during procedures requiring fluoroscopy.
• Monitor radiation safety measures.
• Maintain infection control practices and PPE usage.
• Mentor new staff and ensure patient safety.
