Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a GI Lab Technician to support endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy and EGD. You will assist physicians and RNs, prepare procedure rooms, and ensure patient safety through infection control and proper PPE use.

Responsibilities include endoscope reprocessing, specimen handling, room turnover, and assisting with monitoring equipment under RN supervision. 1–2 years of related experience preferred; CPR certification required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of related healthcare or clinical experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms.
• Set up and break down equipment before and after cases.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces per infection prevention standards.
• Assist during endoscopic procedures with physicians and RNs.
• Transport patients to and from procedure areas and assist with positioning.
• Endoscope reprocessing with cleaning and high-level disinfection.
• Stock supplies and deliver specimens to the lab.
• Participate in quality, safety, and service excellence initiatives.
• Provide compassionate care across diverse patient populations.
