Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking an Endoscopy Technician for the Allentown GI unit. The role covers care and maintenance of GI endoscopes, intra-procedure support to staff, and patient transport within the GI Lab, OR and ICU.

Orientation is 4–6 weeks with ongoing in-service training and BLS certification expected. The position emphasizes teamwork, sterile technique, and accurate documentation in the GI database, with opportunities to assist in scheduling and supply management.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• BLS certification; training in processing endoscopy instruments preferred.
• Orientation of 4–6 weeks in Endoscopy Suite; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Care and maintenance of GI endoscopes and accessories.
• Set up, assist in GI procedures and transport of patients as needed.
• Calibrate, disinfect and troubleshoot endoscopic instruments.
• Assist with scheduling, supply restocking, and GI database input.
• Observe and document patient vitals in observation areas and perform pre/post calls as required.
