Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Endoscopy Technician II to support GI procedures, prepare the endoscopy suite, and assist physicians and nurses. The role includes high-level disinfection of endoscopes and mentoring junior technicians to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of Endoscopy Tech experience, BLS certification, and strong communication skills in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED, homeschool equivalency, etc.).
• Three years of Endoscopy Technician experience.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the interprofessional health care team and communicates patient care information clearly.
• Mentors Endo Tech I and train new staff.
• Supports GI procedures, assists with endoscopy setup and turnaround.
• Maintains inventory and supports preceptor and clinical resource roles.
• Operates hospital databases and ensures accurate documentation.
