Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Endoscopy Technician II to support GI procedures under RN or physician supervision. You will assist with preparation and turnaround, including cleaning and high-level disinfection of endoscopes and accessories.

You may mentor Junior Techs and train new staff, while applying sound clinical judgment during procedures. The role requires 3 years of Endoscopy experience and BLS certification, with emphasis on teamwork, patient communication, and proficiency with EPIC

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education required.
• Three years of Endoscopy Technician experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with endoscopy equipment and high-level disinfection.

Responsibilities

• Assist GI providers during endoscopy and prep.
• Prepare and turnaround endoscopy suite; clean and high-level disinfect endoscopes.
• Mentor Endo Tech I staff and train others.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and team.
