Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Digestive Health Center and endoscopy team. You will assist with patient care, instrument handling, and room setup/teardown between cases, including endoscope reprocessing and instrument maintenance.

Choose from multiple shifts (8-, 9-, 10-hour) and contribute to a collaborative perioperative team within a growing health system.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology certification.
• CER within 18 months and BLS within 30 days.
• Excellent communication and infection control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment.
• Collect data on assigned patients as directed by the RN.
• Perform accurate documentation in patient records as directed.
• Apply aseptic technique to maintain sterile environment.
• Communicate effectively with team, patients and families.
• Assist providers with procedures and treatments.
• Assist in cleaning and sterilization of instruments per policy.
• Prepare rooms and reprocess endoscopes.
