Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Digestive Health Center and endoscopy team. You will assist with patient care, instrument handling, specimen collection, and room setup/teardown between cases. Reprocessing of endoscopes and device maintenance are essential parts of the role.

Choose from multiple shifts, including 8-, 9-, and 10-hour options. A sign-on and relocation bonus are available for qualified candidates who join our team at Carle Health.

Qualifications

Requires certification readiness where applicable and ability to maintain asepsis in procedures.
Strong communication and teamwork with physicians, nurses and staff.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology and pharmacology for perioperative care.

Responsibilities

Assist physician with instruments and room setup during procedures.
Reprocess endoscopes and related instruments per policy.
Assist with supplies, equipment, and room turnover between cases.
Document data in patient records as required by standards.
Provide care within scope under RN guidance and maintain sterile technique.
