Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Digestive Health Center’s endoscopy team. You will assist with patient care, obtain specimens, and help with instruments while reprocessing endoscopes and managing equipment between cases.

Several shift options are offered, including 8-, 9-, and 10-hour shifts, with sign-on and relocation bonuses available. Join a dedicated team focused on safe, efficient perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Surgical Technology or equivalent
• Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) within 18 months
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Assists in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment to maintain an efficient department.
• Collects data on assigned patients as directed by the RN and unit standards.
• Performs accurate documentation on the unit and in patient records as directed.
• Maintains asepsis and sterile technique in procedures.
• Communicates effectively with team members, patients and families.
• Assists providers with procedures and treatments.
• Removes and sterilizes instruments per hospital policy.
• Cleans and stocks exam and procedure rooms.
• Obtains specimens and transports per hospital policy.
• Supports inventory and restocking of supplies.
