Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Surgical Technologist to join the Digestive Health Center endoscopy team. You will assist with patient care, set up and tear down rooms, reprocess endoscopes, and support with instrument handling and equipment maintenance.

Multiple shift options are available including 8-, 9-, and 10-hour shifts. The role requires education in Surgical Technology, an Associate’s Degree or Certificate of Completion, and certifications in CER and BLS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with team.
• Hand-eye coordination and infection control knowledge.
• Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures and supports perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing supplies and equipment for efficient workflow.
• Collect data and document in patient records as directed.
• Maintain aseptic technique and sterile environment in procedure areas.
• Assist with instrument processing and room turnover between cases.
• Obtain specimens and transport per hospital policy.
• Support with inventory and restocking of supplies.
