Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare is seeking an Endoscopy Scheduler/Patient Navigator to guide patients through their endoscopy journey from referral to procedure completion, ensuring timely access and clear communication.

You will coordinate outpatient and inpatient procedures, manage schedules, reminders, and pre‑procedure requirements while helping resolve barriers such as transportation, finances, and language challenges in collaboration with care teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare scheduling, patient access, registration, care coordination, or related healthcare setting.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to build positive relationships with patients, providers, and healthcare team members.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive barrier-resolution skills.
• Experience with electronic health records, scheduling systems, insurance processes, referrals, or authorization workflows.
• Passionate about helping patients navigate the healthcare system and improve access to care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient access to endoscopy services from referral through procedure completion.
• Schedule outpatient and inpatient endoscopy procedures with provider calendars and room utilization.
• Manage waitlists, urgent procedures, and offer earlier appointments when available.
• Guide patients through requirements, preparation instructions, scheduling expectations, and follow-up care.
• Process referrals, verify documentation, and monitor authorization requirements.
• Coordinate pre-procedure testing and recall programs to improve screening and compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and support departments to ensure smooth care.
