Job summary

SCA Health is seeking an RN to join our perioperative team in a full-time on-site role. You will develop individualized care plans, administer medications with the 8 rights, and maintain strict aseptic technique throughout perioperative care.

The position requires current RN licensure, with GI/OR surgical experience preferred, plus BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of GI, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• BLS/BCLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop an individualized perioperative plan of care, protecting the patient from injury.
• Administer medications safely using the 8 rights of medication administration.
• Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to Universal Protocol and time-out procedures.
• Monitor patient recovery from anesthesia and manage anesthesia care as needed.
• Provide education to patient and family about recovery, nutrition and medications.
• Provide accurate, timely hand-off reports and participate in team communication.
