Job summary

SCA Health in the United States is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room to join a multidisciplinary perioperative team. You will assess patient status, develop individualized perioperative care plans, and promote the mission and values while delivering high-quality patient care.

Requirements include a nursing degree, current state licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as applicable, and at least one year of OR or related experience. Perioperative certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days if pediatric care is included in scope.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
