Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is offering a PCA position with a $750 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires. The role is 40 hours per week with no weekend, holiday, or on-call duties, and a day shift from 7:00 to 5:30.

This onsite position supports the RN with clinical tasks and patient care. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or equivalent, nursing assistant certification, and BLS/CPR certification. Bi-lingual skills and prior clinical experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification as a nursing assistant is required on hire unless a nursing student has completed fundamentals with clinical components.
• Nursing students hired as PCAs should be enrolled in BSN or direct-entry Masters' programs.
• Bi-lingual skills are preferred.
• Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• May not currently hold a valid nursing license.
• BLS or CPR certification by AHA or Red Cross is required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Support the RN with clinical tasks, including glucometry, EKGs, and vital signs.
• Respond to patient and family needs and take a proactive role in efficient unit operation.
