Job summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support licensed staff with activities of daily living and basic clinical tasks. A $750.00 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible new employees hired in PCA positions.

Work involves taking vitals, documenting in the medical record, and assisting with patient hygiene, mobility, and daily activities. All duties are performed onsite at 70 Francis Street, Boston MA, with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in patient care/elder care 0-1 year preferred.
• BLS and Nursing Assistant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes/outputs with accuracy.
• Completes documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and families effectively.
• Assists with bathing, dressing, feeding, toilet use, and hygiene.
• Assists with turning and repositioning in bed and mobility.
• Reports health concerns to nurses.
