Job summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston is hiring for a Patient Care Assistant (PCA). Working under licensed personnel, you will assist patients with daily living activities and monitor vital signs, while documenting in the EMR. This onsite role supports patient care 40 hours per week with a night shift schedule.

A $750.00 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible new employees hired in PCA positions. The position requires compassionate care, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 35

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience in patient care 0–1 year preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong patient/customer service skills.
• Proficient in computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.
• May require BLS/ CNA certifications as per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs.
• Completes all documentation in the medical record.
• Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
• Assists with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding).
• Assists with turning/repositioning and moving between bed and wheelchair.
• Reports health concerns to nurses.
