MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA, seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist the Endoscopy team by preparing operating rooms and supporting procedures under the supervising circulating nurse.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or completion of a surgical tech program.
• CST certification preferred but not required in Iowa.

Responsabilités

• Assist the surgical team in Endoscopy by preparing operating rooms and supporting procedures.
• Verify correct surgical site and prepare pre-operative site.
• Review OR schedules and gather equipment per surgeon cards.
• Perform sterile scrub and maintain sterile field.
• Instrument cases and anticipate surgeon needs.
• Count sponges, sharps, and instruments.
• Prep and drape patients, gown and glove the team.
• Prepare sterile dressings and report equipment issues.
