Job summary

The University of Rochester is looking for an Endoscopy Unit Operations Coordinator to act as the central communication hub, coordinating daily procedures, patient flow, scheduling, and resource readiness. You will support physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with surgical/appointment scheduling software (Flowcast) and electronic medical records preferred.
• 1 year in a position demonstrating the ability to work with minimum supervision and direct an office operation (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Serve as operational specialist and central communication hub for the Endoscopy Procedure Unit.
• Coordinate daily procedural operations by maintaining real-time awareness of patient flow and provider schedules.
• Maintain Epic, EndoSoft, QGenda, and patient tracking systems and ensure equipment readiness.
• Assist with onboarding and orientation of new staff and participate in workflow planning and quality improvement.
