Job summary

The University of Rochester in Brighton, NY is seeking a skilled Scheduling and EHR Operations Specialist to optimize EP/Cath lab templates, manage provider templates in Epic/Cupid, and improve access for ambulatory and procedural care.

You will partner with Epic analysts and clinical leaders to sustain standardized workflows, monitor capacity, and support a Doctor of the Day model while ensuring high-quality patient flow.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
• EPIC Certification within 1 year.
• Strong scheduling and operations workflow skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs, maintains, and optimizes Epic scheduling templates for physicians, APPs, and fellows, with focus on Electrophysiology and EP/Cath lab.
• Manages provider time allocation across ambulatory, procedural, inpatient/service, and other clinical responsibilities.
• Monitors scheduling blocks, release practices, scheduling gaps, and open capacity; coordinates adjustments with leadership.
• Collaborates with leadership, nurses, and admins to resolve capacity barriers and improve patient access and throughput.
• Develops and maintains on-call and service schedules; ensures accurate scheduling information in systems.
