Qualifications

• Two years of clinical MA experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; MA program completion preferred.
• Current BLS certification per AHA.
• Certified or registered as CMA or RMA per national cert bodies.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follow policies.
• Perform rooming tasks: vitals, history, health maintenance, screens.
• Assist provider with procedures as ordered.
• Perform lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT per standing orders.
• Administer medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handle insurance authorizations, refills, messaging, scheduling, referrals.
• Maintain clean work environment and stocked supplies.
• May assist with training or onboarding of teammates.
• Demonstrate effective communication and escalation as needed.
• Ensure patient data reflects age-specific needs and charted accurately.
