Qualifications

• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in a Nurse Residency Program.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers (HCP) certification within 60 days of entering position.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patients.
• Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with the healthcare team.
• Implement age- and disease-specific care in a timely manner.
• Provide or coordinate patient/family education as needed.
• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
• Identify ethical issues and enhance patient satisfaction.
