Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Endoscopy Room Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem Day shifts at Jersey City Medical Center. The role requires active NJ RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and a BSN or active enrollment in a BSN program. Two years of Endoscopy RN experience is ideal.

Work involves assessments, meds, teamwork, and ongoing professional growth in a fast-paced setting. The RN will document in EPIC EMR, participate in rounds, and support high-quality patient care with compassionate education

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license and BLS certification required.
• ACLS required; Basic Dysrhythmia course completed.
• BSN degree required or actively enrolled with expected completion date.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes, intervening early.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on, evidence-based care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate timely, well‑planned care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and support for care transitions.
• Accurately document in the EMR to promote continuity and patient safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and support smooth transitions of care.
