Job summary

ASM Research seeks an End User Training Lead to oversee the organization’s training and learning portfolio, ensuring employees have the skills to use mission-critical systems effectively. This leader directs blended learning design and delivery, mentors trainers, and coordinates travel and delivery schedules in a federal IT environment.

The role includes change-management activities that accompany new or updated applications and strong emphasis on evaluation of training effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Education, Training, HR, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience in training and development, incl 4–6 years as a trainer on technical projects and 0–2+ years in management.
• Experience designing, executing, and evaluating training programs for technical applications.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of trainers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; writing clear training materials.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities; extensive travel 40–75%.
• Current secret security clearance (active within past 24 months).

Responsibilities

• Govern the overall training strategy for mission-critical systems and needs assessment.
• Design blended training programs with classroom, virtual, and e-learning methods.
• Mentor a team of trainers, including train-the-trainer activities and coaching.
• Oversee creation and maintenance of training materials and guides.
• Implement evaluation methods and metrics to improve content and delivery.
• Coordinate with leaders and SMEs to prioritize topics and plan deployments.
• Manage travel planning, trainer schedules, and training budgets.
• Ensure quality and compliance through coaching and standards adherence.
