Job summary

Ellucian's IT Engineering team seeks a skilled Support Technician at our Pearl River Community College Campuses to troubleshoot hardware and software issues for internal users. You will own problem resolution, communicate clearly with users, and help implement improvements across IT services.

You will support Windows and Mac environments, Office applications, networking, video conferencing, and audio. A proactive, collaborative stance will drive upgrades and service quality in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Knowledge in the Windows OS and core desktop software configuration.
• Technical skills designing, documenting, and implementing projects.
• Ability to triage systems down situations.
• Solid understanding on mobile devices (iPhone, Android).
• Understanding of MacOS, iOS configurations and support.
• Understanding of patch management, software distribution/deployment, and imaging technologies (IBM BigFix).
• Knowledge of end user applications and hardware including: Microsoft Office, CrowdStrike AV, Cloud based storage platforms, Zoom/Webex Video Conferencing, Dell laptops.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to all Ellucian employees and serve as the escalation point of contact to the help desk and Tier 2 teams.
• Expertise with Windows OS, Office Suite, Networking, Video Conferencing software, and Audio.
• Coordinate with other departments on technology deployments, system upgrades and maintenance outages.
• Communicate maintenance schedules and operational issues to IT management and business users.
• Encourage communication of new ideas, solutions and problems.
• Provide feedback regarding IT methodologies, standards and industry best practices.
• Research and implement tools and technology to enhance IT services.
• Ensure timely resolution/referral of employee problems with proper prioritization.
• Facilities support, including Audio Visual systems.
