Job summary

Texas Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company, within the Information Systems department, is seeking an IT support professional to interfacing directly with end users for PC equipment support. The role covers device installation, software configuration, basic networking, and tier-1 troubleshooting in a business office setting.

The candidate should have an associate degree or higher in a computer-related field, strong communication, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a computer related field from an accredited school and foundational experience in a computer related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft and iOS software, Intel platform, basic networking, and security understanding.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities.
• Ability and willingness to learn and extend skills.
• Must have and maintain “system expert status” of a least one critical application or obtain within one year of employment.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record at the time of hire which would not place the employee on probation, or disqualify the employee from Certified Fleet Operator Status, under the Company Driving and Safety Policy.

Responsibilities

• Install end user facing devices and equipment.
• Install, configure, and update software.
• Basic network support.
• Troubleshoot equipment and software.
• Communicate with vendors as needed.
• Assist with recommendations for improvements to procedures.
• Complete all training and assignments in a timely and effective manner.
• Apply departmental standards and procedures to all assignments.

• Provide after-hours help as needed.
• Provide support to meetings/conferences.
• Asset management.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
