Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to provide first and second level technical support for end-user computing devices at multiple sites in Brighton, NY. You will troubleshoot OS, connectivity, and application issues and assist with deployment and maintenance of endpoint devices.

Responsibilities include configuring devices, supporting remote work, and contributing to strategy for endpoint device support while ensuring 24/7/365 coverage and high-quality

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Flexibility to work 24/7/365 coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to travel between work sites and support multiple locations
• Proficient in troubleshooting OS, hardware, and software on PCs/Mac and mobile devices

Responsibilities

• Provides first and second level technical support for end-user devices (desktops, laptops, mobiles).
• Troubleshoots and resolves device issues, in-person or remote, and assists with setup and maintenance.
• Acts as primary contact for end-users addressing OS, connectivity, or application issues.
• Manages setup, configuration, maintenance, and deployment of endpoint devices.
• Assists with developing strategy for endpoint device support.
