Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Services Order Manager (SOM) in the United States to oversee end-to-end service projects, from planning to close-out. You will be the primary customer contact, confirming requirements and coordinating with service staff and subcontractors to meet schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities include scheduling, resource planning, cost monitoring, and maintaining detailed Work Orders, with regular participation in operational and stakeholder reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or applicable experience.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
• Knowledge of basic accounting or financial principles and methods
• Ability to review and understand electrical drawings and specifications desired
• 5 years Electrical Power Distribution knowledge and experience desired
• Project management experience desired
• Professional experience in customer service
• Solution oriented and proactive problem solving
• Takes ownership and focuses on process improvements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn and work with multiple computer-based systems including Salesforce, SAP & Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end customer experience for service projects to ensure on-time completion and high satisfaction.
• Serve as primary point of contact for customers and initiate, plan, execute, control and close customer interactions.
• Confirm customer requirements including drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documentation.
• Communicate with customers, service staff, and subcontractors regarding schedules, delays, or changes.
• Schedule FSRs, identify lead FSR as needed, and coordinate outside labor.
• Ensure labor and resources are scheduled and materials ordered and received.
• Monitor and escalate project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Manage Work Orders from start to finish through to final close-out.
• Participate in weekly operational meetings and monthly reviews to discuss issues, backlog, forecasting, and WIP.
• Maintain detailed tasks and notes in Work Order systems and ensure effective customer communication.
