Job summary

ABB Inc. seeks an Order-to-Delivery Business Lead who will own on-time, in-full delivery end to end for a high-volume manufacturing business. You will collaborate with an SAP solution lead, decide what to fix, and drive process changes to meet targets.

This is a founding role in our first value stream with authority over rules behind the number. You will report to the Vice President of IT and work with a business sponsor in Installation Products in North America, traveling to plants and centers.

Qualifications

A degree in supply chain, engineering, business or a related field.
8+ years in manufacturing or distribution in planning, scheduling, inventory, fulfillment, order management or operations. That includes 3+ years accountable for an operational result such as on-time in-full, fill rate, promise accuracy or inventory.
You can follow an order from demand to shipment across plants and distribution centers, and say where it gets stuck. Make-to-stock, make-to-order or both are valued.
You have traced delivery misses with data, found the real cause, and made a fix that stuck.

Responsibilities

Own on-time, in-full delivery end to end from demand to shipment.
Co-own outcomes with SAP solution lead as equals.
Decide what gets fixed and in what order; influence processes and systems behind numbers.
Manage change across plants, distribution centers and system teams not reporting to you.
Run short experiments of one to two months and keep what moves the number.
Report results honestly to business leaders, including what is not working.
