Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking an experienced Event Manager to plan and deliver enterprise-level programs from kickoff to onsite execution. You will manage budgets, schedules, and multiple vendors while ensuring seamless attendee experiences and timely closeout.

You will lead onsite operations, coordinate with the producer and client teams, and maintain project plans in client tools. CMP certification is preferred and travel/extended program weeks are expected.

Qualifications

• Four or more years planning corporate meetings and events.
• Experience as onsite lead on ten or more programs a year.
• Independent management of program budgets up to $500,000 with forecasts and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of hotel and supplier contracts, banquet orders, and cost drivers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver assigned programs end to end with the producer, from kickoff through onsite execution and close.
• Keep the program plan current in the client’s project tools with tasks, owners, and dates.
• Build and manage program budgets with the producer up to $500,000, and alongside a Senior Event Manager on larger programs.
• Manage hotels, venues, transportation, F&B, and AV contracts through final invoices.
• Coordinate with Attendee Experience Coordinators on registration, housing, and attendee communications.
