Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks an Medical Support Specialist to assess donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable tests. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician within plasma center operations.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P or LPN/LVN or RN as applicable
• Current CPR and AED certification
• Meet state licensure requirements for basic IV therapy
• Two years in clinical or hospital setting
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, medical history and screening.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings.
• Support vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Ensure safety and environmental health guidance is followed at center.
