Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Phoenix, AZ is seeking Medical Support Specialists to apply EMT skills in donor care, eligibility assessments, and safety monitoring to support the plasma donation process.

You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, determine donor eligibility, manage donor reactions, review test results, and participate in vaccination programs while maintaining regulatory compliance in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• EMT licensure across levels (EMT-B/A/I/P) or equivalent nursing licensure
• CPR and AED certification
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history interview and physical examination
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance
• Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed
• Potential role as Pandemic Coordinator as authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs
