Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist in Tempe, AZ to determine donor eligibility, monitor donor safety, and collaborate with physicians and Medical Affairs. The role requires EMT licensure or RN/LPN credentials and current CPR/AED certification, with at least two years in a clinical setting.

You will support environmental, health and safety programs, vaccination initiatives for staff, and incident management under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

Qualifications

• Licensed in-state EMT or nursing licensure is required.
• CPR and AED certification must be current.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, physical examination, and testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and center orders.
• Refer medical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needed.
• Support vaccination programs for employees (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu).
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and escalate as required.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
