Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to respond rapidly to emergency and non-emergency calls, assess patient needs, and provide basic life support.

The role includes stabilizing patients at the scene and during transport, operating ambulances, coordinating with EMS teams, and documenting care and patient conditions. Ongoing training is required to stay current with protocols.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of EMT Basic Course.
• Must obtain EMT license in state of operation within 120 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Current valid driver license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Responds quickly and efficiently to emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Assesses patient conditions to determine injury or illness.
• Performs basic life support, CPR, and other BLS measures.
• Stabilizes patients at the scene and during transport.
• Safely transports patients to hospitals or facilities.
• Operates and drives ambulances safely.
• Communicates with other emergency services and with families or staff.
• Maintains equipment and ensures it is stocked and functional.
• Documents care provided and patient status accurately.
• Engages in ongoing training to stay current with protocols.
