Job summary

You will perform basic life support, assess conditions, stabilize patients, and transport them to care facilities, coordinating with other providers to optimize outcomes. The role emphasizes autonomous decision-making, ongoing EMS training, proper documentation, and safe operation of EMS equipment and vehicles in dynamic environments across CHEMS Idaho

Qualifications

• Successful completion of AEMT course.
• Must obtain AEMT license in state of operation within 120 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Current valid driver license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Responds quickly and efficiently to emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Assesses patients' conditions to determine nature of injuries or illnesses.
• Provides basic life support and administers CPR and other BLS measures.
• Stabilizes patients at scene and during transport to medical facilities.
• Safely transports patients to hospitals or other medical facilities.
• Operates ambulances and other emergency vehicles safely.
• Communicates with other emergency services and with family or staff.
• Maintains and stocks medical equipment; ensures good working order.
• Documents care provided and patient condition accurately.
• Participates in ongoing training and professional development.
