Intermountain Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to respond quickly to calls, assess patients, provide basic life support, and safely transport patients from Elko Air Base, Elko, NV. You will drive ambulances, coordinate with other emergency services, maintain equipment, and accurately document patient care.

The position requires EMT Basic Course completion, EMT license within 120 days, and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

Qualifications

• EMT Basic Course completed.
• Must obtain EMT license in state of operation within 120 days of hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Attendance License preferred before start of employment.
• PHTLS preferred.
• EMT National Registry Certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Responds quickly to emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Assesses patient conditions to determine nature and extent of injuries or illness.
• Provides basic life support, CPR, and first aid.
• Stabilizes patients at scene and during transport to medical facilities.
• Transports patients to hospitals or other medical facilities.
• Operates emergency vehicles and drives ambulances.
• Communicates and coordinates with other emergency services and family members or staff.
• Maintains equipment and ensures it is in good working order and properly stocked.
• Documents the care provided and patient condition.
• Participates in ongoing training to stay current with medical protocols and procedures.
