Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Ankeny, IA is seeking a Medical Support Specialist with EMT credentials to determine donor eligibility and ensure donor safety within plasma center operations.

You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, following SOPs and EHS guidance while supporting vaccination programs and incident handling, with opportunities for career growth at Takeda.

Qualifications

• EMT licensure in the relevant state (EMT-B/A/I/P) or RN/LPN licensure.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, and screening.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance.
• Assist in pandemics investigations as authorized.
