Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Ankeny, IA is seeking Medical Support Specialist EMTs to support donor safety and the plasma collection process. You will assess donors, determine eligibility, review test results, and manage donor events under supervision, with emphasis on quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current EMT license(s) in the state of responsibility.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.
• Two years clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and obtain informed consent with proper documentation.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer complex medical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Coordinate with EHS on occupational health matters and investigations.
