Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to help ensure donor safety and center operations in Corpus Christi, TX. You will determine donor eligibility, review lab results, and manage adverse events under physician guidance.

You will also support employee vaccination programs, incident reporting with EHS, and adhere to FDA training requirements while collaborating with BioLife Medical Affairs for medical issues.

Qualifications

• Active state EMT certification (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P) or RN/LPN/LVN license required.
• Current CPR and AED certification required.
• FDA training completion for BioLife Medical Support Specialist is required.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, medical history interview, and physical exam.
• Assess donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for complex medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu).
• Manage occupational health incidents and coordinate with EHS.
