Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Villa Park, IL seeks an Medical Support Specialist to assess donors, determine eligibility, and manage adverse events in a high-safety plasma collection setting.

You will collaborate with Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure compliant operations, review test results, and support environmental, health and safety programs while delivering quality donor care.

Qualifications

• EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P licensure required
• LPN/LVN or RN licensure required
• CPR and AED certification
• Basic IV therapy qualifications
• FDA-approved BioLife training requirements
• At least 2 years clinical/hospital experience

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, history interview, and physical assessment
• Manage donor adverse events and donor transport to care facilities
• Review laboratory test results and communicate unsuitable results
• Provide center level support for EHS and medical guidance
• Support vaccination programs for employees and occupational health processes
• Assist in regulatory and center physician coordination as needed
