Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in the United States (IL – Fairview Heights) seeks Medical Support Specialists to assess donors, manage eligibility, and respond to adverse events. You will review lab results and coordinate with Center Physicians to ensure donor safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates hold EMT licenses, nursing credentials, CPR/AED, and basic IV therapy training, with at least two years in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program equivalence.
• Current EMT license(s) in state of responsibilities (EMT-B/A/I/P) and RN/LPN considered.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent and self-exclusion.
• Monitor donor adverse events and review lab results and SPE findings.
• Refer complex medical issues to Center Physician and Medical Affairs.
• Support vaccination programs and incident/occupational health guidance.
• Ensure donor safety and compliance with plasma collection regulations.
