Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Tyler, TX is seeking a Medical Support Specialist with EMT credentials to support plasma center operations, determine donor eligibility, and review test results. You will respond to donor adverse events under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician, ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• EMT license or nursing credential as required by role.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Understanding of donor screening and medical history review.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, consent, and screening requirements.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for complex issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage incidents with occupational health/ER guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
