Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support donor safety and plasma collection operations. You will determine donor eligibility, evaluate reactions, review lab results, and communicate results to donors under supervision of Center Manager and Center Physician.

Role requires EMT or nursing licensure, CPR/AED, and at least two years in a clinical setting; training and safety programs are provided, with a path to career growth and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified EMT in the applicable state (EMT-B/A/I/P) or nursing licensure (LPN/LVN, RN).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training completed.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer complex findings to Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Manage occupational health incidents and follow EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.
